By creating a space or using TripEvenly, you agree to these terms.

What TripEvenly does

TripEvenly records shared expenses and works out who owes whom. It never moves money. Settling up happens outside TripEvenly, between you and your group.

Your space

• The space owner is responsible for who receives the space link, password and invites.
• Everyone in a space can add, edit and delete its expenses. Changes are kept in the history and can be restored.
• Check balances before you pay anyone. Receipt scanning can make mistakes; you’re responsible for reviewing what it fills in.

Scanning credit

• Receipt scanning uses prepaid credit added through Stripe. Credit is used one scan at a time and does not expire while the service runs.
• A scan that fails is credited back automatically. Otherwise credit is non-refundable except where the law requires it or at our discretion.
• Prices may change. Changes never affect credit you’ve already bought.

Acceptable use

Don’t use TripEvenly for anything illegal, to store content you don’t have the right to share, or to disrupt the service. We may suspend spaces that do.

The service

We work to keep TripEvenly available and your data safe, but it’s provided as is, without guarantees. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, or for more than the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

We may update these terms; we’ll change the date above when we do.
